Flight Control Built Around Fixed-Wing and VTOL Integration
The Holybro Kakute H743 Wing brings an STM32H743 processor, CAN connectivity, 14 PWM outputs and multiple regulated power rails into a compact flight-controller system. Its layout is designed for fixed-wing and VTOL applications, with dual camera-input switching and a controllable camera/video-transmitter power output.
When planning your next airframe, organize servo loads, peripheral power and autopilot connections around one controller platform. The USB extender lets you plan access for configuration without relying solely on the main board's mounting location.
Key Features
- H743 processing: STM32H743 running at 480MHz with 1MB RAM and 2MB flash.
- Sensor integration: ICM-42688-P IMU and a revision-dependent BMP280 or SPA06 barometer.
- Peripheral connectivity: Seven UARTs, one CAN interface and external I2C connections.
- 14 PWM outputs: For supported motor and servo configurations, subject to firmware output mapping.
- Video integration: AT7456E OSD, dual camera-input switching and a 9V/12V ON/OFF pit power switch.
- Logging: MicroSD card slot for supported onboard logging; a memory card is not listed in the package.
- Power monitoring: Onboard battery-voltage and current sensing.
Technical Specifications
- Processor: STM32H743, 480MHz, 1MB RAM, 2MB flash.
- IMU: ICM-42688-P on SPI3.
- Barometer: BMP280 or SPA06 on I2C4; confirm the supplied revision if a specific sensor is required.
- OSD: AT7456E on SPI2.
- Logging interface: MicroSD slot on SDMMC2.
- UARTs: Seven, listed as UART1/2/3/5/6/7/8 with built-in inversion.
- Outputs: 14 PWM.
- CAN: One interface.
- I2C: I2C1 and I2C2 for external devices; I2C4 for onboard sensors.
- ADC inputs: Five, listed for Bat1/Curr1, Bat2/Curr2 and RSSI.
- Power-board input: Listed 10–36V, described as 3–8S LiPo. Keep actual pack voltage within the documented input limits.
- Current sensing: Listed 90A continuous and 220A peak; these figures do not describe an integrated ESC motor-drive rating.
- Power distribution: One set of ESC power pads listed.
- Static draw: Listed 160mA at 5V.
- Mounting: 25 × 25mm, M2 holes.
- Dimensions: Listed 45 × 30 × 13.5mm.
- Weight: Listed 28g with USB extender.
Regulated Power Outputs
- 5V rail: Listed 5.15V ±0.1V, 2A continuous and 3A peak, intended for compatible controller and peripheral loads.
- 9V/12V rail: 2A continuous and 3A peak; 12V selection uses a jumper pad. Verify the selected voltage before connecting video equipment.
- Servo Vx rail: 6V default, selectable 8V using a jumper pad; 6A continuous and 8A peak. Check every servo's voltage rating and combined current demand.
- 3.3V output: Linear-regulated, listed 200mA continuous.
Rail ratings apply to the total connected load on each rail, not separately to every attached device. Confirm input headroom, cooling and the manufacturer's operating conditions for your installation.
Firmware and Compatibility
The listing specifies ArduPilot 4.4 or newer with target KAKUTEH7-Wing, and INAV 6.1.1 or newer with target KAKUTEH7Wing. Verify current support for the exact board revision and intended aircraft configuration before flashing. Do not assume PX4 support from the H743 processor alone.
GPS, CAN and I2C ports simplify supported connections, but connector fit does not guarantee matching pinouts, supply voltage or firmware support. GPS capability does not mean a GPS module is included.
Perfect For
Experienced builders integrating compatible fixed-wing aircraft or VTOL systems that need multiple servo outputs, selectable peripheral power and supported ArduPilot or INAV configuration.
Listed Package Contents
- 1 × Kakute H743 Wing flight controller.
- 1 × power board.
- 1 × top board.
- 1 × USB-EXT board.
- 1 × electrolytic capacitor, listed as 220µF 62V; verify the marking on the supplied component.
- 2 × XT60 60mm power cables.
- 3 × 2.54mm DuPont pins.
- 2 × 15cm JST-GH 4-pin cables for CAN and I2C.

Package clarification: The selectable option is labeled “No plug,” while the package list includes XT60 power cables. Confirm the supplied connector and cable configuration before ordering. GPS is described as optional, but no GPS-equipped option is currently listed; do not assume a GPS module is included. Battery, motors, servos, receiver, ESC and video equipment are not listed as included.
Setup and Safety
- Remove propellers before wiring, firmware configuration or output testing.
- Disconnect power before soldering or changing voltage-selection jumpers.
- Verify polarity, connector pinouts and selected rail voltages before attaching accessories.
- Use a compatible external ESC for motor control; this controller is not a motor ESC.
- Confirm output assignments, servo travel, sensor calibration and failsafe settings before flight.
- Check current-monitor calibration against a suitable reference rather than relying on unverified preset values.
