NewBeeDrone Hummingbird 200 RaceSpec | ELRS FC & AM32 ESC Stack

A Compact Control Stack for 5-Inch FPV Racing

The NewBeeDrone Hummingbird 200 RaceSpec pairs an AT32F435 flight controller with a 3–6S AM32 4-in-1 ESC in a 20 × 20mm mounting format. A built-in UART-based ExpressLRS 2.4GHz receiver reduces separate receiver wiring, while reinforced motor solder pads give builders top, bottom and side surfaces for motor-wire connections.

Developed with racer Kyle Buell, known as Twidgit, the stack is designed around competitive 5-inch FPV builds. Check frame clearance and electrical requirements before installation; the ESC extends beyond its mounting pattern.

Flight Controller Features

• Processor: AT32F435 running at 288MHz.
• Gyro: ICM-42688 with a dedicated LDO supply. External-clock operation is referenced for Betaflight 4.6; confirm support in the firmware release used.
• Integrated receiver: UART-based ExpressLRS 2.4GHz with dual ceramic patch antennas and a TCXO oscillator.
• Receiver firmware target reference: NewBeeDrone Diversity 2.4Ghz RX V2. This is the receiver target, not the flight-controller firmware target; verify against the exact hardware before flashing.
• OSD: NBD7456 chip.
• Regulated outputs: Listed 10V 2A and 5V 2A BEC rails. Confirm connected equipment voltage and total load.
• UART layout: UART1 for internal ELRS, UART5 for the HDZero VTX connector, UART7 available for compatible peripherals.
• Other connections: I2C and LED pads.
• Mounting: 20 × 20mm, listed for M2 or M3 hardware.
• FC weight: Approximately 4.8g.
• Surface treatment: Listed nano coating; this does not establish waterproof operation.

AM32 4-in-1 ESC Specifications

• Input: 3–6S LiPo.
• Current claims: 80A per channel for 10 seconds and 100A burst for 3 seconds. The source calls the 80A figure “continuous” but limits it to 10 seconds; do not treat it as an unrestricted continuous-current rating.
• Processor: AT32F421 with integrated gate driver.
• Firmware: AM32.
• PCB: Six layers, 3oz copper, blind vias and gold plating.
• Transient suppression: Onboard TVS protection. The existing text conflicts between two and three diodes; the detailed specification lists two with a 400W peak reference. Verify the fitted revision if this matters to your build.
• Motor connections: Reinforced three-surface solder-pad structure.
• Capacitor connections: Corner capacitor pads are described for added installation flexibility.
• Mounting: 20 × 20mm with M3 holes.
• Board dimensions: Approximately 35 × 45mm including pads.
• ESC weight: Approximately 13.9g.
• Surface treatment: Listed nano coating.

Component weights are listed separately. A generic 18g figure also appears in the original specifications, so a precise assembled weight including cables and hardware is not established.

Compatibility and Setup

Use a compatible 2.4GHz ExpressLRS transmitter with suitable firmware and settings. The built-in receiver does not establish compatibility with 900MHz-only or unrelated radio systems. Video transmitters, cameras and goggles are separate components.

The included video cable is described for DJI O3/O4/HDZero equipment, but connector presence alone does not guarantee every unit shares the same pinout or voltage requirements. Verify wiring, power demand and firmware configuration for your exact video system before connecting it.

Use the correct AT32 drivers if the board cannot enter DFU mode, and verify the flight-controller firmware target through current manufacturer documentation. Do not substitute a receiver firmware target for the FC target.

Installation Safety

Check capacitor polarity, wire routing, solder joints and frame clearance before powering the stack. Keep props removed during configuration, motor-direction tests and failsafe checks. Provide suitable cooling and choose motors and propellers within verified electrical limits; reinforced pads and coating do not make the stack crash-proof or waterproof.
